1. Overview
HelixVault ("we", "us", or "the App") is designed around a single principle: your data belongs to you and stays on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what happens — and what doesn't — when you use HelixVault.
Short version: We do not operate servers that receive your health, peptide, or usage data. We do not sell data. We do not have user accounts. The App runs locally on your iPhone.
2. Information we do not collect
HelixVault does not collect, transmit, or store on our servers any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or date of birth
- Your peptide inventory, dose logs, protocols, or notes
- Your Apple Health data
- Your device identifiers, IP address, or location
- Your usage patterns or in-app behavior
We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, tracking pixels, or attribution services. There is no network request from HelixVault that sends your personal data to us or anyone else.
3. Data you create in the App
All data you enter into HelixVault — peptides, vials, dose logs, notes, goals, and photos — is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage APIs (Core Data and the local file system). This data:
- Stays on your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud sync (see Section 5)
- Is deleted when you delete the App
- Is never transmitted to HelixVault's servers (we don't have any)
4. Apple Health (HealthKit)
If you choose to connect HelixVault to Apple Health, the App will request read access to specific data types, which may include:
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- Resting heart rate
- Sleep analysis
- Body mass, body fat percentage, lean body mass
- Active energy and workouts
HealthKit data is read locally on your device by HelixVault only when needed to display trends or correlations inside the App. HealthKit data is never transmitted off your device by HelixVault. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → HelixVault.
In accordance with Apple's HealthKit policy, HelixVault does not use HealthKit data for advertising, does not disclose it to third parties, and does not sell it.
5. iCloud sync (optional)
HelixVault offers optional sync across your own devices via Apple's CloudKit. When enabled:
- Data syncs through your personal iCloud account, managed by Apple
- We do not have access to your iCloud data; it is governed by Apple's privacy policy
- You can disable sync at any time in the App's Settings
iCloud sync is off by default. You must explicitly enable it.
6. Subscriptions & purchases
HelixVault offers in-app subscriptions processed by Apple. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. HelixVault receives only an opaque receipt from Apple to verify entitlement; we do not receive your name, email, billing address, or payment details. 7. Analytics & crash reports
HelixVault does not use any third-party analytics. If you opt in to share diagnostic data with App Developers through Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements on your iPhone, Apple may provide us with anonymized crash reports that contain no personal data and no health data. This is controlled entirely by Apple and you.
8. Children
HelixVault is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has used the App, please contact us.
9. Your rights
Because HelixVault does not collect your personal data, there is no remote profile to access, port, rectify, or delete. You have full control of your data locally:
- Access: open the App — all your data is visible to you
- Export: use the in-App export feature to produce a CSV or JSON file
- Delete: delete individual records in the App, or delete the App to remove everything
- Revoke permissions: manage HealthKit access in iOS Settings
Residents of the EU/EEA, UK, California, and other jurisdictions with data-protection laws have these same practical controls by default, because no personal data leaves your device.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced within the App and on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of HelixVault after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
